Terms of service

These terms cover quotes and jobs with Budge. By asking for a price or booking a job, you agree to them. We keep them short and plain on purpose. How we handle your information is in our privacy policy.

Quotes and prices

We base your price on what you tell us and the photos you send. Before we start work, we confirm the price with you. If the job turns out different from what we were told, for example more items, heavier items or harder access, we tell you the new price and get your okay before doing the extra work.

Scheduling and cancellations

We schedule your job for the day and arrival window we agree on. If something on our side changes, we let you know as early as we can.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as you can. Any cancellation terms that apply to your job are confirmed with you before you book.

What we don't take

We don't move or haul hazardous materials, including paint, chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos and medical waste. We may also turn down items that are not safe to lift or carry. Not sure about something? Send us a photo and ask.

When we haul things away, we take only what you show us or point out. Once items are hauled, donated or recycled, we may not be able to get them back, so please set aside anything you want to keep.

Access and parking

Please make sure we can get in and park close by on the day. That includes parking permits, elevator reservations, gate codes and any building rules. Tell us ahead of time about stairs, long walks from the truck and tight spaces. If access is harder than we were told, the job may take longer and the price may change. We tell you before it does.

Payment

We confirm how and when payment is due along with your price, before the job.

Care, damage and valuation

We take care with your home and your things. If something is damaged during a job, please tell us as soon as you can, ideally before the crew leaves, and send photos. We will look into it with you.

Photos you send

Photos you send us are used to price and plan your job. We keep them private and do not post them anywhere without asking you first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. The terms in place when you book are the ones that apply to your job.
